Well I cant say what is wrong but from the description of the problem
a few things come to mind
1) Reinstall the Amiga OS. (you may have trampled some stuff)
2) Forget about SysInfo you may end up worrying needlessly.
When I added an IDE drive I suffered some also. However I had backed up
the OS (actually my whole workbench directory), so I reloaded the OS and
then wrote over it with the backup. Roundabout way but it left me with
a warm fuzzy feeling and a working system. Yuo need to remember that
all your display modes etc run off libaries. Reinstall Amiga Dos load
your supporting libaries for the Warp ect and see how you are then.
Until you do this you may be throwing more time into an endless pit.
